Healthy Eating for Successful Living in Older Adults—is both an educational and support program approved by the National Council on Aging.
• Participants are older adults who want to learn more about nutrition and how lifestyle changes can promote better health.
• Based on the USDA MyPlate, the main components of the program include: goal setting, problem solving, group support, nutrition education and self -management of dietary patterns.
• The workshop is conducted over 6 sessions, meeting weekly for 2½ hours per session and may include a restaurant or grocery store outing. Sessions are led by two trained leaders.
